| Craig Alexander "Crowie" wins the 2008 Ford Ironman World Championship in Hawaii using the Xlab Carbon Wing. Tucked behind Craig in his body's draft, the Carbon Wing added no drag to his tri-bike. See in the photograph the air down his back makes his race number almost horizontal. The Carbon Wing sits beneath that airstream, but also allows air to flow cleanly off the back of his aero seatpost. With Crowie's win, that now makes 13 World Ironman Championship wins in 16 years! Actually it is really more than that, because in some years both the male and female winners used Xlab. The Xlab brand is probably the most consistent winning brand of any accessory in Hawaii over the past 16 years. |
