XLAB Champion Mel Hauschildt conquered the Ironman Western Australia course, taking home her second full-distance win of the year. She broke the tape with a 2:57 lead over 2nd place with an 8:56:33. The impressive time smashed the previous course record by 1:54, sealing her name in the record books.

Hauschildt toed the line driven to win - and admitted she took a look at the standing course record prior to the race. To take on her big goals, Hauschildt selected the new Torpedo Kompact 500 - the high-performance carbon update to the award-winning Torpedo Kompact design.

XLAB Champion and 2013 World Champion Frederik Van Lierde also raced down the field for an 8:03:09 at Ironman Cozumel. His new Cervelo P5X was outfitted with the Gorilla rear cage, Torpedo aerobar cage and Chimp frame cage, each designed for specific positions on bicycles.
